Can I add Carson to my existing intercom?
Possibly! A hardware specialist would perform a site visit to confirm everything we need is in place. Once confirmed, you can use Carson with your existing intercom.
What kind of properties does Carson support?

Is the remote doorman a real person or an automated system?
Carson has its own live remote doorman team. A human responds on average 10 seconds or less via the building’s intercom.

My tenants use two different apps to place Service Requests and pay rent - how can Carson make this easier for all of us?
For the One-app Resident Experience™, Carson offers many software add-ons like our own Service Requests feature, Amenities Reservations, a Community message board, and more. Carson also integrates with software programs like Clickpay and Yardi to streamline access to rental payments, and update your residents lists as move-ins and move-outs occur.
My tenants are always getting locked out or losing their fobs - can Carson integrate with any access control systems?
Carson supports systems like Brivo and Dormakaba to give residents an extra layer of access beyond their fobs. Should a resident forget both their phone or fob, having their ID or a pre-loaded picture to the app can grant them access through the Remote Doorman.
How can Carson keep my building secure if there’s no one physically on the premises?
We integrate with the cameras on site that have been added to a cloud-based video platform, and call pull up to 30 days of downloadable footage. We can track when any door that has been added to Carson has been unlocked. Residents are alerted to denied visitors and property managers are alerted to denied vendors. Furthermore, our Customer Experience and Tech Ops teams are available to update preferences and issues at any time.
How does Carson handle data security?
Carson handles data security with audited industry standard methods.
Does Carson share or sell personal information?
Carson does not share our clients’ information with the exception of third party software that is used within our system; these third parties’ data are also in compliance with industry standards, as stated in our Terms and Conditions. We do not sell any personal information.
